Don’t those summer vacation months just seem to fly? It feels like I just closed up my office and BOOM it’s time to start a new school year! I am relishing these last few days until school starts next week but there is so much to do. This school year, I am moving to a new school and preparing for a new caseload so I’m excited to meet all of my new students and figure out what materials I will use to best meet their needs.
I have been busy creating some really fun new things that I am sure the students will enjoy and that I expect will bring out lots and lots of language! I like to start out the school year using my “Back-to-School” and “School Rules” books. Over the summer I created a lot of new books that I know the students will love. I plan on using a new “shadows” type book that talks about school supplies. And I always like to use my “Who Works At My School” book as well (just talking about this is getting me excited to see my students and start therapy!).
So don’t forget to download my free items on Teachers Pay Teachers and stay tuned… I intend to update my blog posts several times a week throughout this school year, sharing lots of fun therapy ideas. Best Wishes to all of you for a successful 2015/2016 school year!
