I’m an SLP who loves ALL things related to COMMUNICATION.
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in and around the Pittsburgh area. My husband and I have five children. The home nest is almost empty, but there’s always room for grandbabies, dogs, and good friends. I love all types of music, walking and hiking, rainy days with a cup of Moroccan Mint tea, a good weekend binging on Netflix, and finding resources to help my students grow and build stronger communication skills.
My caseload always covers a wide variety of speech and language disorders so between providing research-based therapy, I am constantly thinking of ways to help better meet the needs of the children I provide services for, and to also share those ideas with parents, other SLPs, and colleagues I work with.
Feel free to stop by Monae’s Speech House if you ever need some fresh ideas for getting organized or decorating your speech room, teaching functional skills, getting parents on board to help with their child’s goals, or generalizing skills. I’ve got some great tips for speech sound disorders if you work with students needing help in the area of apraxia, phonology or articulation. And if you’ve been around for a while, you know autism has always been my passion.
All the best,
