I love starting off the school year using my School Rules book. This week I used my Attainment version (Everyday Readers), which has “real life” pictures, followed by a cartoon version that I created. I find using both versions reinforces those important rules that I want my students to understand. In order to start the school year off on the right foot, the #1 task should be getting classroom management and behavior skills under control.  Real learning can only begin after that takes place.

Another reason I like Attainment’s “Everyday Readers” is it combines 36 of my stories into 2 volumes (with real life pictures). It also includes a really easy-to-follow teacher’s manual. Some of my teachers have used Everyday Readers and have said they enjoy the thematic stories that can be used week by week…  and their students really respond to the concepts throughout each story.
